It is a requirement from the beginning of the design process, the Development Application then through plans for Construction Certificate, sometimes mid construction advice and site visits and sign off on the completed building for Occupation Certificate.
Local Government is responsible for this process and will require either an ‘appropriately qualified’ or ‘accredited’ Disability Access Consultant for buildings that people will occupy, that is work, live or have recreation in.
It also provides audits of existing buildings and facilities to identify accessibility compliance issues and provides consultation to ensure compliance with code requirements and to ensure accessibility barriers have been removed.
The current owner is looking to retire and would love to pass on the opportunities that are available in acquiring this business.
